Re: Metres for Kids
As most of you are aware this year we became sponsors of the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba Inc.
I believe that our Industry needs some good press, and what better way then becoming good corporate citizens.
“Metres for Kids” slogan asks questions:
What does it mean? The majority of people in Canada don't have a clue about what we do in the exploration industry. This just might give us the opportunity to enlighten a few minds.
How does it work? For every metre we drill (because that is how we get paid) we donate. The more we drill the more we donate! I always liked simplicity.
“The Children's Hospital is the only pediatric facility between Toronto and Calgary. In addition to the 130,000 children who come to the hospital each year, we also see 45,000 children in emergency each year; that's more than the population of Brandon. There are 8,000 surgeries each year an average of 22 each day”.
How do you get involved? Your involvement can be done in two ways.
Just make a donation or donate what we donate on a monthly basis, (visit the website www.goodbear.mb.ca) or
This is the part I like... Give us more to drill and we will donate more – real simple!
It's going to be a good thing, and I am happy that we have taken on the task of helping raise much-needed dollars for child health care... ”because children need us!”
